The maze runner series includes five novels.
The Maze Runner:-
Being the first novel in the series, it is one of the blockbusters in the Maze Runner series. The first volume was published on October 7, 2009, and in 2014, 20th Century Fox made a motion picture based on this book that was directed by Wes Ball.
The plot starts when Thomas wakes up in the mental elevator, losing his memory and the only thing he can remember is his name. He is surrounded by strange boys whose memory is also gone. Then a girl arrives and delivers a terrifying message to Thomas, i.e. remember, survive and run.
The Scorch Trials:-
The second volume was published on 18th September 2010 followed by the story of The Death Cure book.
The story starts with Thomas sleeping in the dormitory with the other teenagers, known as the Gladers, who escaped from the Maze in the previous book. The Gladers have a couple of weeks to cross through the most burned-out section of the world which is also called The Scorch. Their survival depends on the Glader’s destruction. There are others now and they are determined to survive.
The Death Cure:-
This is the third book in the Maze Runner Series, published on 11 Oct 2011 by Delacorte Press. It is followed by the series of prequels, The Kill Order and The Fever Code.Â
Janson, assistant director of WICKED and held in solitary confinement, eventually releases Thomas. Thomas’s life, his memory, and now even his friends are taken by WICKED. But what WICKED doesn’t know is that Thomas has remembered many things, more than they think, which is enough to prove that he can’t believe a word of what they say. In the end, the truth will be terrifying and Thomas can go to any extent to save his friends.
The Kill Order:-
The Kill Order, the fourth book in this series, was published on August 14, 2012, which is a prequel to the events of the fever code and the Maze Runner.
The Plot opens in the prologue where Thomas and Teresa were sent into the Maze, setting the events of The Maze Runner. It was the time when Sun rays hit the earth, killing most of the population. It was before wickedness was formed and the maze was built. A virus is spreading that fills humans with the killing rage of one another. Mark and Trina were there when this happened and they survived this killing virus. But now the Virus is spreading well and they were convinced that if they can stay alive there is a way they can save others. The ending is only the beginning.
The Fever code:-
Published on 27th September, it is the second prequel book in The Maze Runner series. And the event is set between The Kill Order and The Maze Runner novels.
The Fever Code tells the story of Thomas, also you will know; how he will build a maze that only he can tear down. This book reveals all the answers – How WICKED to find Gladers? Who was Group B? And what side did Thomas and Teresa rely on. All lies will be exposed and secrets will be uncovered. It is the book that holds all the answers.
Crank Palace:-
It is a new book in the Maze runner series which is a novella to the Maze Runner series, followed by the Fever Code Novel. It was first released as an audiobook on August 25, 2020, with a print copy and ebook on November 23 in the same year.
